Client Background:

The Waterproofer was contacted by a client facing persistent issues with their internal gutters. Previous repair attempts failed, leaving the plywood base bowed and the metal gutters rusted. Additionally, the gutter couldn’t handle the roof’s water volume.

Challenges:

Structural damage, rusted gutters, and inadequate drainage capacity posed significant challenges. Previous repairs didn’t address the root problems.

Solution:

The Waterproofer proposed a complete reconstruction of the gutter system to provide a lasting fix.

Process:

1. Assessment and Preparation: Safety scaffolding was erected, and the damaged gutter thoroughly assessed prior to reconstruction.

2. Gutter Reconstruction: The bowed plywood base was substituted with fresh treated plywood, incorporating larger sump areas to enhance water drainage.

3. TPO Installation: Viking Enviroclad TPO was applied for waterproofing the refurbished gutter.

4. New Roofing Iron Installation: All-new roofing iron was installed alongside updated flashing systems.

5. Quality Assurance: Stringent quality checks were performed to guarantee that the reconstruction adhered to rigorous standards.

Outcome
The rebuilt gutter, fortified with treated plywood and TPO, provided a reliable waterproofing solution, addressing the client’s long-standing issues. By addressing underlying issues and using quality materials, we ensured client satisfaction and long-term reliability, and backed it all up with a comprehensive warranty.
