Client Background:

Countdown Supermarket faced a crisis a week before Christmas when water leaked into their shop, especially into the self-checkout area. This caused major problems for their business.

Challenges:

The leaking roof disrupted supermarket operations right before Christmas. It was a high-pressure situation they needed assistance to fix urgently. Stormy weather tore the roof membrane, making the need for a scaffold and wrap also urgent. The Waterproofer responded quickly to fix the issue.

Solution:

The Waterproofer responded quickly to hold and weathertight the issue in the interim by battening down the loose membrane. We then facilitated a full membrane replacement – the torn membrane was removed and new membrane installed in its place – 10 year workmanship warranty was given as well as a 20 year product warranty.

Process:

1. Immediate Investigation: Assessed the damage caused by the torn roof membrane and stormy weather. Secured the roof membrane temporarily with batons and screws.

2. Urgent Preparation: Set up scaffolding and wrap for safety and security.

3. Full Membrane Installation: Installed a complete TPO membrane system for long-term protection.

Outcome
The Waterproofer’s quick response restored the supermarket’s roof integrity, preventing further damage and ensuring smooth operations during the busy Christmas period.

This case shows The Waterproofer’s ability to handle urgent waterproofing needs effectively, even during challenging times like the holiday season. Their prompt action helped Countdown Supermarket avoid significant losses and maintain its reputation for reliability.
